Kohima, June 9 (EMN): The government of Nagaland on Wednesday extended the Covid-induced lockdown by seven more days.
It is the third time that the state government has extended the lockdown in view of the second wave of the pandemic that wreaked havoc across the country.
State’s Spokesperson for Covid-19, Mmhonlumo Kikon tweeted that, ‘the High Powered Committee, after a thorough discussion with all the District Task Forces, has decided to extend the lockdown till June 18 with further relaxations’.
He added that the respective District Tasks Forces (DTFs) would issue necessary orders for relaxations as per the situation in the districts.
It maybe recalled that Nagaland first announced total lockdown from May 14 to 21, before extending to May 31 and then to June 11.
