Nagaland government convenes meeting on Naga political issue
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Home Department has convened a consultative meeting on September 12 to discuss the ongoing Naga political issue.
The meeting, scheduled for 10 am at the State Banquet Hall in the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, will be attended by a wide range of stakeholders, including state government officials, tribal organisation leaders, and civil society representatives.
According to a DIPR update, the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), along with all Ministers and Members of Parliament from the state, are expected to attend. They will be joined by the Chief Secretary, Advisors, MLAs, and senior government officials.

The Home Department has also invited representatives from numerous tribal organisations, women’s organisations, gazetted officers’ associations, student bodies, civil society groups as well as religious bodies, among others.
