Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend Chavang Kut greetings
Dimapur, Oct. 31 (EMN): Governor of Nagaland Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has extended warm wishes to the Kuki, Chin and Mizo communities and to all the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Chavang Kut festival.
Mukhi shared that Chavang Kut is a thanksgiving festival for a bountiful harvest; and celebrates peace and unity.
“The young and old are involved in traditional dances, songs and games which is a good way to preserve our rich cultural heritage. The celebration of the festival by communities, cutting across boundaries, brings people together and fosters friendship and unity which in turn leads to progress,” he shared.
He further wished all good health, peace and prosperity.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also extended greetings to the Kuki, Chin and Mizo communities on the occasion of Chavang Kut.
“May the thanksgiving festival for a bountiful harvest bring blessings of answered prayers,” he shared.
