DIMAPUR — As per the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) dashboard of the Government of India on June 17, 2024, Nagaland has a total of 24,393 MSMEs registered on the Udyam portal.
Among these, micro-enterprises lead with 24,144 registrations, followed by small industries with 231 registrations and medium industries with 18 registrations.
According to the district-wise distribution of MSMEs registered on the Udyam portal in Nagaland, Dimapur district leads with a total of 7,704 MSME registrations. Out of these, 7,534 are micro-enterprises, 155 are small enterprises, and 15 are medium enterprises.
Kohima district holds the second spot with a total of 3,671 MSMEs registered. Out of these, 3,637 are micro-enterprises, 33 are small enterprises, and one is a medium enterprise.
Mokokchung has a total of 1,740 MSME registrations, comprising 1,725 micro-enterprises, 14 small enterprises, and one medium enterprise. Closely behind is Mon district, with a total of 1,611 MSME registrations, which includes 1,605 micro enterprises and six small enterprises, with no medium enterprises registered.
A total of 1,408 MSMEs were registered from Zunheboto, including 1,404 micro enterprises, four small enterprises, and no medium enterprises. Closely followed by Phek district with a total of 1,407 MSME registrations, comprising 1,406 micro enterprises and one small enterprise.
Wokha district has a total of 1,305 MSMEs registered on the Udyam portal, including 1,296 micro-enterprises and nine small enterprises. Chümoukedima has a total of 1,235 MSME registrations, comprising 1,229 micro-enterprises and six small enterprises.
Tuensang district has a total of 1,088 MSMEs registered, all of which are classified as micro-enterprises. Similarly, Peren district has a total of 888 MSME registrations, with all MSMEs classified as micro-enterprises as well.
Kiphire has a total of 694 MSME registrations, with 692 classified as micro-enterprises and two as small enterprises. Meanwhile, Longleng has a total of 646 MSMEs registered, all of which are micro enterprises.
Nuiland district has a total of 361 MSMEs registered on the portal, consisting of 359 micro-enterprises, one small enterprise, and one medium enterprise.
Tseminyu district has a total of 283 MSMEs registered as micro-enterprises on the portal. Noklak follows with 275 micro-enterprises, and Shamator has 77 micro-enterprises registered.
