Nagaland Junior Athletics Championships underway in Kohima
KOHIMA — The two-day Nagaland Junior Athletics Championships for U-12, U-14, and U-16 categories commenced at IG Stadium in Kohima on Friday.
In the U-16 girls’ 100m race, Noshe Moanayu Konyak clinched first place with a time of 13.8 seconds, followed by Apoang N with 15.1 seconds, and Kevisinuo Dzuvichu with 15.8 seconds.
In the U-12 girls’ 60m race, Yujatila secured first place with a time of 10.0 seconds, Azeno Zashumo came in the second with 10.7 seconds and Hengwa Kemp finished third with 10.8 seconds.
In the U-14 boys’ 60m race, Lemma took the first place with 8.1 seconds, while Sentimoa Jamir came in the second with 8.3 seconds, and Raju Teron secured third place with 8.6 seconds.
In the U-12 boys’ long jump, Hyunilo Seb won first place with a jump of 2.78 meters, followed by Teisovise Peyatsu with 2.71 meters and Kelengulie Keyie with 1.78 meters.
In the U-16 boys’ 100m race, Tementhong secured the first place with a time of 12.4 seconds, while Thejasetuo Suokhrie came in second with 12.4 seconds and Petevi Yhome finished third with 13.2 seconds.
In the U-14 boys’ 600m race, Pampuinath Gazingba won first prize with a time of 1:52.4, while Angkam A. Konyak took the second place with 1:57.8 while Keviesede Chiese finished third with 1:58.5.
In the U-14 girls’ 600m race, Sopei S took first place with a time of 2:05.00, followed by Kivikali with 2:20.00 and Kevilenuo Kerhuo with 2:23.00.
In the U-14 boys’ high jump, Panpuinath Gazingba won first place with a jump of 1.52 meters, while Seyieneito Rino took second with 1.26 meters and Ninovi Swu finished third with 1.05 meters.
In the U-12 girls’ kids javelin, Hengwa Kemp secured first place with a throw of 8.91 meters, followed by Linilo A Swu with 6.68 meters and Aphonghanna Konyak with 5.87 meters.
In the U-14 boys’ kids javelin, Neinguzotuo Seyie took the first place with a throw of 16.23 meters, while Thepfusetuio Pielie came in second with 15.88 meters and Vilhousalie Kenguruse finished third with 13.34 meters.
In the U-14 boys’ long jump, Lemma won first place with a jump of 4.92 meters, followed by Meyielie Khrodi with 3.99 meters and Seyieneito Rino with 3.80 meters.
In the U-14 girls’ long jump, Mhahlenou Elina took first place with a jump of 3.45 meters, while Supei S came in second with 3.37 meters and Anon M. Konyak finished third with 3.35 meters.
In the U-14 boys’ shot put, Keviesede Chiese won first place with a throw of 7.75 meters, while Vizaseto Rino took second with 7.02 meters and Raju Teron finished third with 6.96 meters.
In the U-12 boys’ 60m race, Kelngulie Keyie secured first place with a time of 11.15 seconds, followed by Mhalelhoukho Miario with 11.1 seconds and Teisovise Peyatsu with 11.4 seconds.
In the U-14 girls’ 60m race, Esang Khamneau took the first place with a time of 9.4 seconds, while Anon M Konyak came in second with 9.5 seconds and Kivikali finished third with 9.7 seconds.
