Metsubo hands over bore wells
In another programme, Metsubo Jamir handed over two bore wells to the respective wards authorities under his constituency on Wednesday. It was his promise during the last election campaign to the people of Mokokchung town to dig bore wells to every ward under his constituency.
A formal handing over of bore wells to the respective wards authorities was held at Jubilee Memorial School Junction at Salangtem Ward, where Rev. Sentimeren, associate pastor of MTBA, offered the dedicatory prayer.
Speaking at the programme, Jamir asserted that the government is ready to provide development to the people. He, however, lamented that limitation on availability of land in the urban area was a concern. He added that availability of land was a prerequisite for undertaking any developmental project.
He reminded the people that the developmental projects should be for their children and future generation. Jamir further assured the ward authorities to allocate funds for maintenance of the bore-wells.
