Nagaland: MGM College organises orientation programme

DIMAPUR — Sociology department of MGM College, Dimapur, has organised a one-day orientation programme on ‘Reading, writing and reasoning sociology’ on July 10 at the college auditorium with Dr. Tiatula Ozukum, assistant professor of Sociology at St. Joseph University, Chümoukedima, as the resource person.

An update from the college stated the resource person has highlighted on the structure of NEP-2020 and stressed on the importance of skill enhancement courses. The key points emphasised included how to read, write and reason academic texts and how to review literature, techniques for writing academic prose and peer reviewing.

It stated that a total of 74 students of BA 1st semester and faculties of the department attended the programme.

The college’s principal, Fr. Dr. PS Varghese welcomed and thanked all the participants.
