Nagaland: Peren town organises inter-ward choir competition
Dimapur, Nov. 16 (EMN): Peren town inter-ward competition was organisedheld as part of the 75th years of Peren Township celebration on Nov. 15 at Peren Town Square.
An update informed that Mdipuiram ward emerged as the winner of the competition.
Thousands of people converged at the venue to witness the choral competition where nine wards from Peren Town competed for the title.
The runner-up was bagged by Nsetning ward while Keletzai ward was adjudged as the second runners-up.
The winner received a cash amount of INR 30,000 while the first runner-up walked away with a cash prize of INR 20,000 and the second runner-up received INR 10,000.
The viewers’ choice award was bagged by Mdipuiram ward who also received INR 3,000.
The remaining six wards also received consolation prizes of INR 5,000 each.
The prizes for the winners were given away by ADC Peren, KeyirangdingHegui, while the consolation prizes were handed over by EAC Peren, Er. SeyieviliePfukri.
The competition was judged by HeleilakHega (chief judge), ZalevonuoNza and Kebana Thou.
On Wednesday evening, Dreamz Unlimited and local band from Wokha “About Us” enthralled the audience with their wonderful performances.
