Nagaland records 10 new COVID-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, July 18 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland has increased to 65 with 10 fresh infections — six in Kohima, three in Dimapur and one in Mokokchung — reported on Thursday, while the death toll remained unchanged at 759 with no fresh fatalities.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID cases in the state has increased to 35,613 and the recoveries rose to 33,2836 following recuperation of two cases in Kohima and one in Dimapur during the past 24 hours.
Out of 65 active cases, 25 are asymptomatic, 34 mild, four moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of district-wise distribution, Kohima has 34 cases, Dimapur 21, Peren six, Mokokchung two, and one each in Longleng and Zunheboto.
16935 new COVID cases in India
Meanwhile, 16,935 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the active caseload to 1,44,264 and tally to 4,37,67,534, while the total recoveries increases to 4,30,97,510 following recuperation of 16,069 patients, according the Union Health ministry.
As many as 51 new fatalities were reported, taking the death toll to 5,25,760, according to the data updated at 8 am.
