Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 123 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 6,163.
According to the information provided by Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, a total of 123 Covid-19 positive cases were detected on Wednesday, out of which 16 were in Kohima, 37 in Dimapur, 68 in Mon and two in Tuensang.
“Out of the 6,163 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 5,020. The active cases are 1,075 and there have been 12 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,038 active cases are asymptomatic, 33 active cases are mild and 4 active cases are moderate.
“Further, out of 6,163 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 2,930 cases of armed forces/ police, 1,497 cases of returnees, 1,394 cases of traced contacts and 342 cases of frontline workers,” the daily briefing read.
“A total of 50,872 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 49,877 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 28,172 samples have been sent for testing on TrueNat and results of 28,109 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 1,726 samples have been tested,” it added.
