Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland reduced to 16 with the recovery of one patient in Mokokchung on Monday, while the death toll from the pandemic stands at 772.
According to the update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID cases in the state stands at 35,905 with no new cases reported during the same period.
The state’s cumulative recoveries increased to 33,602. Out of the 16 active cases, nine are asymptomatic and seven mild.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Kohima has five cases, four in Kiphire, three each in Dimapur and Longleng, and one in Mokokchung, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
