Dimapur, Aug. 30 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland reduced to 12 with the recovery of five patients – two each in Kohima and Kiphire, and one in Dimapur — on Tuesday, while the death toll from the pandemic stands at 772.
According to the update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID cases in the state stands at 35,907 with two new cases reported in Dimapur during the same period.
The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 33,607. Out of the 12 active cases, nine are asymptomatic and three mild.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur,Kohima and Longleng have three cases each, two in Kiphire, and one in Mokokchung, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
