Dimapur, Aug. 23 (EMN): The number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland increased to 19 with seven fresh infections detected on Tuesday, while the death toll from the pandemic stands at 772.
According to the update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, two cases each were reported in Kiphire and Kohima, and one case each in Dimapur, Longleng and Mokokchung in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 35,897.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33,591 with the recovery of three more patients in the last 24 hours, which includes two in Dimapur and one in Phek.
Out of the 15 active cases, seven are asymptomatic, seven mild and one moderate on oxygen.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Kohima has seven cases, five in Dimapur, three in Kiphire, two in Longleng, and one each in Mokokchung and Mon, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
