Nagaland reports two new COVID-19 cases, 4 recoveries

Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): The number of COVID-19 cases in Nagaland has increased to 35,890 with two new cases – one each in Dimapur and Longleng – detected on Monday, while the death toll remained unchanged at 772 no fresh fatalities during the same period.
An update from the department of Health and Family Welfare informed that the state’s cumulative recoveries increased to 33,588 with recuperation of four more patients — two in Mokokchung and one each in Dimapur and Kohima – during the past 24 hours.
Out of the 15 active cases, seven are asymptomatic, seven mild and one moderate on oxygen.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur has six cases, five in Kohima, and one each in Longleng, Kiphire, Mon and Phek, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
Meanwhile, the active caseload in India currently stands at 97,648 with and 9,531 out of 2, 29, 546 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, returning positive, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
