Nagaland school board announces sign languages quiz for students
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified that the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with MyGov, is hosting International Day of Sign Languages Quiz from September 23, 10 am to December 2, 11.30 pm.
The event is being organised with an aim to create awareness on the linguistic identity and cultural diversity of deaf persons and sign language users as well as highlight the specific features of ISL and deaf culture in India, according to an update from DIPR.
All the participants will get an e-Certificate, it said, adding that the quiz link with related terms and conditions can be accessed from: https://quiz.mygov.in/quiz/international-day-of-sign-languages-quiz/
The school board also requested the Heads of Institutions to create awareness among students that sign language is for everyone and not restricted to deaf persons, as well as encourage them to participate in the quiz.
