DIMAPUR — A team from Nagaland led by the advisor to CM, Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba, held a comprehensive meeting with the director of CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Dr. G Narahari Sastry, along with other eminent scientists and scholars from the institute on June 23 in Jorhat, Assam.
An update from the press secretary to the advisor stated that the director of Technical Education, Vipulhou Lhoungu, has highlighted about the present status of the department and sought the expertise and guidance from the institute in framing out policies related to curriculum, internships, development of incubation hub for the department among others.
It stated that the Director of CSIR-NEIST, Dr. Sastry, has assured every support and assistance for development of Technical Education department in particular and the state in general. He emphasised on getting to grips with the present scenario by incorporating the latest models and methods of learning in-sync with the available resources manually and naturally within the state.
Dr. Sastry also informed that a committee for overseeing the required agendas and activities of the department would be initiated among the scientists, which would facilitate and render every possible technical support required by the department.
Apart from the advisor to CM, Transport and Technical Education and the director of Technical Education, the department was represented by the additional director, Tiakaba Amer; joint director, David Tsela; and controller of examination, Khrieketoulie Rupreo.
