Nagaland to experience 3-4 degrees above normal temperature
Dimapur: Nagaland is likely to experience dry weather conditions on April 18, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Light rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya but the weather is likely to remain dry over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, the IMD report said.
Maximum temperature is likely to be 3-4°C above normal over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
In Dimapur, the maximum temperature is forecast to be 38 degrees celsius, however, on April 19, all districts in Nagaland, except Peren and Phek districts, are likely to witness isolated rain and thunderstorms.
According to the IMD forecast, on April 19, light to moderate rain is “very likely” to occur at a few places over Arunachal Pradesh and light rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
On April 20 and 21, thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, it said.
It is anticipated that the heat wave conditions will persist in East India for the next four days, the report stated.
