Dimapur, July 22 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 54 more Covid-19 positive cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 1084.
According to daily update by Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, all the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated Covid-19 hospitals and Covid-19 care centres. He added that active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
“Out of the 1,084 positive cases, the total active cases are 598, and 486 have recovered. As per the severity of symptoms, 594 active cases are asymptomatic and 2 active cases are mild and 1 active case is moderate,” the update read.
“Till date, a total of 19,833 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR. Results of 18,749 samples have been received. Out of the 18,749 samples, a total of 11,793 samples have been tested at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and out of which 654 samples have tested positive. In addition, a total of 13,058 samples have been sent for testing on TrueNat. 12,334 samples have tested negative, and 413 samples have tested positive which have been sent for confirmation by RT-PCR,” it added.
The update also informed that a total of 2,833 persons are currently under facility quarantine.
