NCC cadets visit adopted village Chedema

NCC cadets of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima, giving away hygiene kit to an elderly woman during their visit to Chedema village on June 10.

DIMAPUR — As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, 40 NCC cadets of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima, under 1 Naga Girls Bn NCC, led by the NCC in-charge, ANO Elizabeth, along with four teachers visited Chedema village on June 10.

An update from the school stated that the visit was a joint initiative carried out by DBHSSK and 1 Naga Girls Bn NCC. It added that Chedema village was adopted by DBHSSK on May 21 and such social initiatives are carried out on a regular basis by the cadets.

The activities carried out included cleanliness drive, distribution of hygiene kits containing soap, detergent and biscuits to the village elderly by the participating cadets. It informed that a total of forty five homes of old-aged people were visited and the kits were distributed accordingly.

The participating team was hosted by Dr. John Seyeikhriele family.

It further added that the village youth have appreciated the team for the activities carried out in the village.
