NDPP-BJP alliance expected to win 40-45 seats, says Nagaland CM Rio
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday said even though the NDPP is contesting the 24 A/C for the first time, the pre-poll alliance between the NDPP and the BJP is expected to win 40-45 seats in the coming 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections.
Speaking at the declaration programme of NDPP candidate, Tongpang Ozukum at Langpangkong Tzükong GHS, Chuchuyimlang play ground, the chief campaigner further encouraged the residents of Chuchuyimlang town to vote for Tongpang Ozukum, the NDPP candidate, so that they might join the ranks of the victors.
Further, he assured the residents of Chuchuyimlang village that the government will establish an astroturf field illuminated by a high-mast light. After the facility is set up, he expressed hope that the local players will feel inspired to come to avail the facility.
Rio said that NDPP’s intending candidate for the 24 Angetyongpang AC, Tongpang Ozukum, has the capacity to be a leader not only for the constituency but for all of Nagaland.

He added that it was with this belief that the NDPP central leadership decided to allot the party ticket for 24 Angetyongpang A/C to Ozukum, an update stated.
Tongpang Ozukum, NDPP candidate, stated that while the government will be formed within three weeks, it is up to the people of Angetyongpang AC to decide if they want to be on the winning side.
“I won the election last time because of your love and support, and I need your vote again this time. If elected, I will work for the development of Angetyongpang constituency A/C and the entire Nagas,” he said. (Dimapur, EMN)
