NDPP lauds NLA session, congratulates Dr. Chumben Murry

DIMAPUR — The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) congratulated the Chief Minister of Nagaland, the Speaker and all members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) for a “successful Assembly Session wherein many important resolutions and decisions pertaining to the people were passed”.

In a press note, the party appreciated the Budget 2024–25, noting that the budget passed only shows the firm commitment of the leadership towards ensuring that the youth of the state are not deprived of their role in the nation-building process and also, at the same time, ensuring that the very core of the state’s economy, the Argi and allied sectors, is further strengthened.

“While it has been the commitment of the NDPP to ensure good governance right from the beginning, it is indeed encouraging that the government is moving in a positive direction towards achieving this goal,” it said, adding that the NDPP is confident that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will continue to serve the people by ensuring an all-round growth of the state and her people in the years to come.

The NDPP further congratulated Dr. Chumben Murry, Advisor to the Chief Minister for having been given the all-important party ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections due later, maintaining that the candidature of Murry cannot be more befitting for the state.

The party also called upon the people of the state to continue and support the NDPP-led PDA government in transforming Nagaland with the vision of sustainable development.
