Dimapur, May 28 (EMN): To contain the spread of novel coronavirus, one sub-team of the 12th battalion NDRF Doimukh, which is currently stationed at 4th NAP Thizama in Kohima district, carried out sanitisation drive in the premises of quarantine centre at Meriema, Kohima, on May 27.
Sub-inspector and team leader KP Singh stated that NDRF team sprayed sodium hypochlorite and water mixed solution in the entire buildings of quarantine centre at Meriema. Team commander had also briefed the people in the quarantine centre about social distancing and personnel behaviour.
He further explained that NDRF team is always ready to serve the nation and would continue the same service till such time the pandemic is eradicated from the country.
He said that the rescuers of 12th battalion NDRF sprayed the disinfectant mixing with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and water by jet spray machine and motorised spray machine. The team members were full equipped with PPE.
