Nehru Yuva Kendra Zunheboto observes National Youth Day
DIMAPUR — Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Zunheboto, under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, celebrated National Youth Day and Youth Week on Friday at 11 am.
DC Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, in his floral tribute and speech, briefed the gathering about occasion, saying that National Youth Day is celebrated every year commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, one of India’s greatest spiritual and social leaders.
‘The day is dedicated to inspiring young minds, promote education, and encourage community service,’ he said as per an update.
While sharing the inspiring journey of Swami Vivekananda as an Indian Hindu monk, philosopher, author and religious teacher, the DC urged the youths to develop a predetermined and positive thinking to achieve success in whatever field they pursue.
Also sharing his journey of becoming a bureaucrat, he cautioned the youths to refrain from involving in drugs-related activities, describing them as future leaders.
Earlier in the programme, Zakato L. Zhimomi, in his keynote address, highlighted the events related to the youth.
