New organisation formed in Karbi Anglong to expose alleged corruption of officials

Diphu, Nov.9 (EMN): A new organisation ‘Justice for National Highway (JNH)-36’ was recently formed to deal with the alleged corruption in the 4-lane road widening construction on NH-36 by officials of the Land and Revenue Department of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.
In a press communiqué, the organisation said, ‘Justice for National Highway-36 has been constituted on October 29 last to deal with the massive corruption involved by the officials of Land and Revenue of KAAC in the ongoing road widening work on NH-36 undertaken by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), a fully owned company of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India’.
The statement also said the JNH is constituted to expose the alleged land grabbing by officials of the Land and Revenue department from landowners. The JNH is headed by Davinson Hanse as president and Longki Phangcho as a secretary with Sundar Engti, Alex Rongpi, Robin Tisso, Bida Bey, Amit Engti and Dharam Rongpi as members.
