Nienu urges party workers to support PDA candidate for Nagaland’s lone Lok Sabha seat

KOHIMA — NPF Legislature Party (NPFLP) leader and MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu, has urged party workers to support the consensus candidate of People’s Democratic Alliance, Dr. Chumben Murry from the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

As a partner in the opposition-less government of Nagaland, the party has not fielded a candidate for the lone parliamentary seat. The NPF has resolved to support the PDA candidate, he said at a party programme on Thursday.

He called on the party workers to stand firm and true to the decision and work hard for the consensus candidate.

On behalf of the NPF, Nienu also appealed to the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) not to go to the extent of not participating in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
