Nimok Power FC launches jersey for Nagaland Futsal Championship 2023

DIMAPUR — Nimok Power FC launched it jersey for the upcoming 3rd edition of the Nagaland Futsal Championship 2023 at Food Balance Restaurant in Kohima on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, proprietor of Food Balance Restaurant, Zhiethrolhi Krome, who also sponsored the Nimok Power FC jersey, lauded the club for taking the initiative and expressed hope that youngsters will make good use of the platform, said an update from the club.

Futsal, though new to the state, is one of the most-played sports in Kohima and Dimapur, he said, while urging the players to work hard and maintain fitness as the sport requires good stamina and energy. He added that there is no shortcut to success.

The Nagaland Futsal Championship 2023 to be organised by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and hosted by the Chumoukedima District Football Association (CDFA) is scheduled to be held from October 17 to the 20th.

Clubs representing each district of the state will vie for the coveted title and the winners will represent Nagaland in the National Futsal Championship. 

Nimok Power FC will represent the Phek district in the championship with Punuru Nienu as the captain, coach- Nesato Dawhuo (holds AIFF D License), manager- Zhovezo Resu and managing director- Sekho Dawhuo.

Nimok Power FC squad: Punuru Nienu (captain and midfielder), Johny Ritse (striker), Thujosa Nienu (striker),Vebuzo Rhakho (midfielder), Kunuzo Venyo (goalkeeper), Toh Shijoh (defense), Veluta Sapu (defense), Nusezo Kezo (defense), Vepoto Rhakho (defense), and Rukucü (goalkeeper).
