NLA Secretariat felicitates Speaker Sharingain Longkumer

DIMAPUR — The officers and staff of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Secretariat organised a felicitation programme in honour of Sharingain Longkumer, speaker of the NLA, on Thursday at the conference hall of the NLA Secretariat.

The felicitation programme was held to honour him for being elected as the chairman of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region, Zone-III, and as the president of the North East Regional Institute of Parliamentary Studies, Training and Research (NERIPSTR).

Longkumer, in his speech, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the CPA for entrusting him with such responsibilities. He expressed his belief that, through collective effort, all tasks that lie ahead could be efficiently tackled.

He thanked the state government, under the leadership of the chief minister, for the clarion call to make the state strive for excellence. He urged all the officers and staff of the NLA to continue working collectively and expressed certainty that, with the cooperation of the deputy speaker by his side, they would achieve all the objectives.
