DIMAPUR — The NSCN/GPRN (K) under the leadership of its president, Lieut. Gen. (retired) Khango Konyak, and ato kilonser, Hokato Vusshe, and the UGN/NNC (PB) president, Kiuthsangkhiung, and general secretary, Nupavi Achumi, have unanimously reaffirmed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 23 to strive together for the greater interest of the Nagas for the early peaceful political resolutions.

The reaffirmation of MoU was necessitated following misunderstanding and conflict among NNC (PB) led by Z Royim, group. A press release issued by NSCN/GPRN (K) through its MIP stated that despite serving 30 days for reconciliation among themselves, Z Royim group ‘miserably’ failed to adhere with its directive, thereby breaching the MoU and disassociated from the membership of NNPA.

The NSCN/GPRN (K) has issued stern warning to NNC (PB) led by Z Royim for working in self-vested interest by collecting taxes without any vision for Naga national movement. It further warned that the NSCN/ GPRN (K) government would not be held any responsible in case of any such complication in the near future.
