NSF Trophy: NUSU-KC, End of Era ease past rivals
KOHIMA — The fifth day of the ongoing NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy played at IG Stadium, Kohima, saw NUSU-KC and End of Era ease past their respective rivals, on Friday.
In the first match NUSU-KC downed Rooster Club Phesama 2-1.
M Phaowang opened the score sheet for NUSU KC in the 28th minute, but Rooster’s Abei Kaimo equalised the score in the 46th minute.
However, Phaowang scored again in the 76th minute and the match ended 2-1 in favour of NUSU-KC.
The man of the match was awarded to M Phaowang, which was handed over by Mhalievilie Medoze, former general secretary of Angami Students’ Union (ASU).
In the second match, End of Era outplayed Chüziema FC 2-0.
Medoneito opened the account for End of Era in the 12th minute. After the break, his teammate Nyithong added another goal in the 56th minute to take the team to the next round.
Sanyem was awarded the man of the match, which was presented by Kezhazer Angami, former president of ASU.
