Patkai Christian College holds freshs’ social
DIMAPUR — Patkai Christian College (PCC) observed its freshers’ social on August 17 at Bundrock auditorium on the theme “Journey to glory.”
Speaking on the occasion, the special guest and director of Tourism, Veyielo Doulo, stated that Patkai is known for producing successful studentsm who are now serving the society in various fields.
While underscoring the role of youth in the society, he said, “Once you step out of Nagaland, you have to be the ambassador of the Nagas.”
He further exhorted the importance of sharing knowledge about one’s culture and tradition adding, “Unless you express your opinions and concepts, people would not know you.”
Speeches were also delivered by the dean of students, Wetshete Thopi, and the president of PCC Students’ Union, Limayala Aier.
The event saw display of culture and musical performance by the students of Margaret Shishak’s School of Music (MSSM).
An update from the college stated that Veliezo Dino was crowned Mr. Patkai and Chonleishon Vashum as Miss Patkai.
