Patton lays foundation stone for SDPO office in Akuluto
DIMAPUR — Deputy Chief Minister and minister in-charge of Home and Border Affairs, Y Patton, on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for construction of the office of sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) in Akuluto town.
Speaking at the programme, Patton appreciated the advisor, Kazheto Kinimi, for taking up the project for the welfare of the people. He also assured to take up the needs of the people in the days to come, a DIPR report stated.
Meanwhile, the advisor Kazheto Kinimi expressed his appreciation to the deputy chief minister for speeding up the present post of SDPO at Akuluto, which he said was a landmark in the history of Nagaland Police.
During the programme, the superintendent of Police, Zunheboto, Kupe Kapfo, delivered the welcome address. Short speeches were delivered by chairman of Akuluto Adhoc Town Committee, Vikheho Achumi; president of Akuluto Area GBs’ Association, Ghotokhu; and DIG Range Kohima, RotihuTetseo.
The SDPO of Akuluto, Meyiakum, chaired the programme, while the vote of thanks was delivered by the additional SP of Zunheboto, Vekhrolo Koza.
A folk song was presented by the women folk from Lumitsami village, while a folk dance was performed by representatives from Sutemi village.
