PGC science students, faculty undertake field trip to Dimapur
DIMAPUR — The B.Sc. students and Science faculty of Phek Government College (PGC) undertook a two-day field trip to various sites in Dimapur on Oct. 15 and the 16th, aimed at enhancing their learning experience.
In an update, the Science Club of PGC stated that the students and faculty members visited the Zoological Park, Rangapahar, where students explored wildlife conservation efforts, and the Nagaland Tool Room and Training Centre, where they gained knowledge about various tools and machines.
They also visited the Aboriginal Energy Center to learn about sustainable energy practices. The two-day filed trip culminated at the Nagaland Pollution Control Board, where students gained insights into environmental protection measures.
“This diverse educational trip effectively connected classroom knowledge with real-world applications, inspiring both students and educators,” it stated.
All together, 16 students and assistant professors from the Science Club of PGC participated in the field trip.
