Phek District Sports Association new team installed
KOHIMA — A new team of Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) for the tenure 2023-2027 was installed at Naga Heritage village, Kisama, on Saturday.
Nezosa Tetseo was re-elected as president of the association, which he led during 2021-2023.
In his speech, Tetseo acknowledged his outgoing colleagues for their support and contributions for the successful completion of the tenure and in hosting two PDSA meets.
Pledging to work for the uplift of sports and the fraternity of Phek district with zeal and commitment, he also sought cooperation and support of the members and all sports well wishers from the district to work as ‘Team Phek’ for the promotion of sports in the district.
Mosonyi Domeh, member of nomination committee, exhorted the new PDSA team to carry forward Phek district to new heights.
Convenor of the nomination committee, Tseibou Khesoh, who led the installation programme, viewed that the introduction of sports policy is a success. As the PDSA is going to celebrate 50 years of existence, he urged the team to be fully geared up for the same.
Member secretary of the nomination committee, Surhoneyi Soho, read out the names of the newly nominated office bearers and administered the pledge.
The new PDSA office bearers are Nezosa Tetseo (president); Razukhruyi Dozo, Anaki Pfithu and Atuo Khupfu (vice presidents); Rupfuzo Puro (general secretary); Shetso Dzudo (joint secretary); Lukas Dukru (treasurer); Punuru Nienu (game & sports secretary); Nukuzo Tetseo and Kücüyi Vadeo (asst. game & sports secretaries); Vekutho Swuro (information & press secy.); Nusakholu Dawhuo and Choyivelu Nienu (women coordinators).
