Dimapur, July 11 (EMN): Aimed at reaching out to vulnerable sections of the society during the Covid-19 pandemic, Leena Sandeep Tamgadge, wife of ADGP (Admn) Sandeep M Tamgadge and the managing director of Arobic Remedies and Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with the 181- Women Helpline, Nagaland, donated medicines to various NGOs in Kohima on July 9.
An update from 181- Women Helpline informed that it has facilitated the distribution of medicines to the NGOs. It added that her contribution would enable the NGOs to provide basic healthcare and support to the most vulnerable during the Covid-19 pandemic.
It also stated that Tamgadge hoped to connect with more NGOs in future and to continue to support those in need.
Arobic Remedies and Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. is based in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It mentioned that besides dealing in segments like pharmaceutical formulation, herbal and OTC products, medical equipment, surgical and safety tools etc. it deals mainly in gynaecological medicines. The company has planned to launch in Nagaland soon.
The 181-Women Helpline is a 24 hour toll-free telecom service, exclusively designed to support women affected by violence. It provides immediate and emergency response to any woman or girl facing violence within public or private space through referral (linking with appropriate authority such as hospital, ambulance, police, Nagaland state legal services authority (NSLSA) etc.), and provides information about women related government schemes and programmes across the country.
It is integrated with the Sakhi – One Stop Centres (OSCs) in all districts as well as the family counselling centres (FCCs).
