Pilgrim HSS gets concrete cricket practice pitch

Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): A concrete cricket practice pitch at Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, was inaugurated on Friday by honorary joint secretary, Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA), A Rahman along with the president of Dimapur District Cricket Association (DDCA), Choba Lotha and general secretary, CK Mech.
An update informed that the RCC cricket pitch was constructed by the DDCA under the aegis of NCA.
Rahman in his inaugural speech emphasised on the benefits of playing the sport. He also motivated parents to encourage their children to play cricket, so that Nagaland may see a strong team in the coming future. He enlightened the gathering about the upcoming Naga cricketers who have become role models for the younger ones to follow, while also encouraging girls not to miss the opportunity, it stated.
Mech said the objectives of construction of the RCC pitch are to promote, encourage, organise and develop the game of cricket in the school, which will enhance the development of fine motor skills, positive behaviour and team spirit that can inculcate positivity in the classroom.
