DIMAPUR — The Dimapur district administration, in collaboration with local government schools, organised a plantation drive under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) on June 5.

Speaking at one of the programmes, the EAC of Dimapur, Imtijungla Lemtur, shared a brief overview of the NCAP and stated that the plantation drive was aimed at contributing to cleaner air. She expressed her delight in involving students from government schools, stating that everyone has the right to clean air and a clean environment, stated a DIPR report.

Highlighting that students and youngsters are the future, Lemtur encouraged the children to plant more trees and take care of them in the future. She also thanked the students and teachers for their contributions towards a cleaner earth and cleaner air.

GHSS Lengrijan, GHS Sarbura, GMS Duncan Ao, GPS Phevima (Kacharigaon), GPS Industrial Village, GMS Naga New Model Ao, GPS Naga New Model Lotha and GPS Naga New Model Angami took active participation in the mass plantation drive in different parts of Dimapur.
