Power outage after heavy rainfall in Dimapur

Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): Some parts of Dimapur faced power outage for more than 12 hours as heavy rainfall lashed across the district on Sunday evening.
An official from the department of Power, Dimapur informed Eastern Mirror that many feeders were affected due to line snapping.
Landmark colony faced power outage at around 11 pm on Sunday night due to a fault in the earthing, where the main wire of the feeder touched the Low Tension (LT) pole and went down to the ground. However, the fault was rectified on Monday morning.
Further, the 11kv Zani feeder was reported to have snapped at Dubagoan gate due to pin puncture after the heavy rainfall. The emergency team from the department worked on rectifying the fault at around 7 pm.
Line fault at Oriental colony was also reported to have affected the surrounding areas due to collapse of the LT pole during Sunday evening’s rainfall. The fault was restored at 6.53 pm on Monday evening.
It was informed that the restoration of the power outrage took time because of lack of manpower.
