PWC organises intensive voting campaign

DIMAPUR — An ‘Intensive voting campaign’ was organised by the National Service Scheme and the Electoral Literary Club of Pranabananda Women’s College (PWC), Dimapur, from Feb. 23 to the 29th, to create awareness on the election process under the directive of the Election Commission of India.

A talk on voting guidelines and the voting process for first-time voters was delivered by Anil Kumar Das, assistant professor and HoD of Political Science. A screening of videos on the electoral system and neutral voting was also organised to create more awareness of the needs and importance of voting, an update stated.

During the campaign, a slogan contest was organised on the theme ‘Chunav ka parv, desh ka garv’ for the students. Further, a pledge was also undertaken on free and fair elections for the future of the country and its citizens, it stated.
