Runway India conducts skill trainings on banana fibre extraction in Wokha

DIMAPUR — Runway India successfully completed skill training programmes on banana fibre extraction and product development at three locations in Wokha: Meriyan Village, Elumyo Village, and Niropen Colony.

According to a press release, the Shishoi Oshom-ETF Cell organised the trainings in collaboration with the Wokha district administration, with Runway India serving as the skill training partner.

They were sponsored by the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) under its corporate social responsibility and sustainability programme for 2023–24.

Key aspects of the training sessions included hands-on experience and practical insights into banana fibre extraction and product development.
