SAS:NU Medziphema Campus celebrates annual school week

DIMAPUR — The School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), Nagaland University (NU), Medziphema Campus, celebrated its 27th Annual School Week on Wednesday, with Col. Vikrant Gupta, Commandant of the 7th Assam Rifles, Medziphema, as the chief guest.

In his speech, Gupta praised the Students’ Union of SAS for organising the event and encouraged young sportspersons to embrace lessons in teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, fair play, passion for excellence, and perseverance, according to an update.

He emphasised that students should be grateful to their parents and teachers, acknowledging that their support and guidance are crucial for personal development and growth. He expressed satisfaction with SAS:NU’s promotion of sports and cultural events, highlighting the importance of holistic development beyond academics alone.

Earlier, L Daiho, Dean of SAS:NU Medziphema Campus, delivered the welcome address and Manpha Konyak, President of EU:SAS, offered the invocation prayer.
