Kohima, May 10 (EMN): With the nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19, all the educational institutions continue to remain closed.
The principal director of School Education, Shanavas C, on Sunday issued a notice cautioning all government and private schools that reopening of schools in any manner would be a violation of the lockdown order issued by the government.
This notice was issued after reports were received that a few schools in the state had issued notifications regarding resuming of classes in a phased manner.
“Severe disciplinary action will be initiated against the violators as per appropriate provisions of the law,” it stated.
He also directed parents and guardians not to send their children to schools until official orders for reopening of schools are issued by the competent authority.
