Seniors Masters League: Win for Kohima Old Boys
DIMAPUR — Kohima Old Boys hammered NITN Super Kings by 101 runs at the ongoing Seniors Masters League 2023-24, played on Sunday at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
Opting to bat first, Kohima Old Boys set a formidable target of 187/5 in 20 overs, with Masetshilong and Kevilelie scoring 38 and 34 runs respectively.
Chasing the target, NITN Super Kings lost their two batsmen in quick successions with runs in the score board 12/2 in 1.4 overs.
Vizalie Shuya of Kohima Old Boys took the first hat-trick of the tournament in the 17th over by taking the wickets of P Chinnamuthu, Shyam and Razouvil Tetso, respectively.
The NITN Super Kings were bundled out after a mere 87 runs.
Earlier, in the first match played on November 11, Chümou Blasters defeated Kohima Legends by nine runs, topping the group table with two wins.
In the second match, ESA warriors overcame Lhomithi Veterans SC by 25 runs.
