Shamator Town Students’ Union celebrates freshers day

DIMAPUR — The Shamator Town Students’ Union celebrated its second freshers day at Shamator Cultural Hall on June 15, with Bodi Kapfo, sub-divisional officer (Civil), as the special guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Kapfo encouraged the students to pursue their studies diligently and take advantage of opportunities. He urged the STSU to continue working for the students’ well-being and improvement.

At the programme, the freshers took part in the Mr. and Miss Freshers 2024 contest, engaging in three rounds: the introductory hour, the casual hour, and the questioning hour. Judging the event were Tsuthula, Hanlula, and Lakiumong.

Subsequently, Berimong from Govt. Hr. Sec School was declared Mr. Fresher for 2024, and Tsuyanla from St. Xavier Hr. Sec School, Shamator, was chosen as Miss Fresher.
