St. Joseph University (SJU), Chümoukedima, in collaboration with the Tata Consultancy Service (TCS), conducted a placement training programme for the students from January 31 to February 10 at the university campus.

The training programme started with an orientation session where Sister Arockia Mary, dean of administration, shared on the importance of the placement training. The first phase of training was imparted to all the final UG and PG students, SJU stated in an update.

The second phase of training was imparted to students who opted for continued training. Altogether, 130 students from various departments participated in the training programme. The training was initiated by the TCS with Lamneithem as the resource person.

The training included mathematics skills, analytical skills, general skills, English skills, activity and interview skills. The students were taught all the tools required for an interview from basic to intermediate level.

The students were also trained on how to draft resume and open e-mail, reasoning ability, aptitude ability and communication skills.

Activities like card making, calendar making, fonts and theme designing were conducted by using latest apps.

‘Students who attended the training programme benefited in various ways and it also boosted their confidence and cognitive skills,’ it stated.  (Dimapur, EMN)
