DIMAPUR — Sumi Kukami Hoho (SKH) has drawn the attention of the state government to repair the Mariani-Zunheboto National Highway 702D, which serves as a lifeline and crucial artery for the residents of Zunheboto in facilitating transportation of people, goods and essential commodities.
An SKH press release issued by its president, H Kashito Yepthomi, and general secretary, Heotho S Zhimomi, lamented that the stretch between Khitsakita-Asukho to Zunheboto is filled with potholes and made travelling along the route arduous and hazardous.
The SKH has ardently appealed to the state government and National Highway authority to intervene and take swift action to undertake the immediate repair to the road by filling the potholes with stones or any suitable materials as an interim measure to provide temporary relief to the affected public of Zunheboto district.
It further stated that the temporary solution was essential to ensure the safety and mobility of people until a more comprehensive and lasting repair is carried out.
