State reports 10 new COVID cases, 1 death

Dimapur, July 24 (EMN):
The number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland increased to 92 with 10 fresh infections detected on Sunday. The death toll from the pandemic increased to 762 with one fresh fatality reported during the same period.

According to the update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, four fresh cases were reported in Mokokchung, three in Kohima, two in Dimapur and one in Phek in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 35,693.

The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33,335 with the recovery of seven more patients in the last 24 hours, which includes five in Kohima and one each in Dimapur and Zunheboto.

Out of the 92 active cases, 37 are asymptomatic, 49 mild, five moderate on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Kohima has 43 cases, 28 in Dimapur, seven in Mokokchung, five in Phek, four in Longleng, three in Wokha and one each in Mon and Peren, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
