Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): The number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland increased to 100 with 14 fresh infections detected on Tuesday. The death toll increased to 763 with one fresh fatality recorded during the same period.
According to the update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, nine fresh cases were reported in Kohima, three in Mokokchung, and one each in Mon and Phek in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 35,723.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33,356 with the recovery of 14 more patients in the last 24 hours, which includes six in Kohima, four in Phek, three in Dimapur and one in Peren.
Out of the 100 active cases, 49 are asymptomatic, 48 mild, two moderate on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Kohima has 45 cases, 31 in Dimapur, 10 in Mokokchung, six in Wokha, three each in Longleng and Mon, and two in Phek, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
