T Senka Ao to be conferred with Padma Shri award

Dimapur, Jan. 25 (EMN): The President of India has approved the conferment of Padma Awards to 128 distinguished personalities — 4 Padma Vibhushan, 17 Padma Bhushan and 107 Padma Shri – this year.
T Senka Ao from Nagaland is among the 107 persons to receive the prestigious Padma Shri award this year. He has been recognised for his contribution in Literature and Education.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday took to Twitter to congratulate him.
“Congratulations, T Senka Ao on being conferred with the Padma Shri in the field of Literature and Education. It’s a moment of pride for Nagaland as he gets the fourth-highest civilian award of the Republic of India. We’re proud of his exemplary contributions and accomplishments,” he wrote.
The Padma awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March or April every year.
