Kiruphema, Nov. 6 (EMN): Tachyon FC emerged winners of the first Futsal championship after defeating Fireball FC by a score of 5-1 in the final match of the tournament organised by the youth department of Peducha Christian Revival Church at Kiruphema local ground on Friday.
Altogether, 15 teams participated in the tournament where 47 goals were. Tachyon FC received INR 6,000 as the champions while Fireball FC pocketed INR 3,000 as runners-up.
In the individual category, Diethorovi Mor of Tachyon FC won the highest goal scorer award with seven goals to his credit while Sameer of Tachyon FC was awarded the best custodian.
A penalty shootout was also organised in the evening wherein Veteran FC led by captain Khrietuo Dahou emerged the champions after defeating Fireball FC in the final game.
The winners received INR 3,000 as champions while Fireball FC collected INR 2,000.
A total of 20 teams participated in the penalty shootout.
