Third edition of Erudite Fest concludes
KOHIMA — The third edition of the two-day Erudite Fest on the theme “Envision, exert, and excel,” concluded on Saturday.
Erudite Fest, an annual festival of postgraduate students at St. Joseph’s College (A) Jakhama, began in 2022 with the goal of providing a platform for students to express themselves and learn from one another.
Yirmiyan Arthur Yhome, deputy director of photography and storytelling at Asia Pacific Associated Press, attended the event on Friday as a guest. Yhome, in her speech, shared her journey to success and exhorted the students to strive for success.
The second day’s main highlights included a quiz competition, upcycling fashion, and the screening of short films.
The closing ceremony was attended by Nunese Sale, the contractor and proprietor of Nune’s Construction, as well as college alumni who emphasised the importance of envisioning and working hard with consistency to achieve one’s goals.
M Phira, honorary faculty member and proprietor of Achievers Academy, also addressed the event and shared insights on how to crack civil services. Phira asserted that just because one fits somewhere doesn’t mean he/she belongs there, challenging the students to take risks in pursuing their passions.
Artists Mezanuo Ngukha, Toshimoa Jamir, and Keneisenuo Sorhie also performed at the festival. The closing ceremony also featured prize distribution.
